Texas Tech University School of Medicine with Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo Texas is recruiting a General Acute Care Surgeon for a full time surgical practice position. Duties will include surgery coverage and patient care at the hospital. Call is shared in the group. Caseload will include acute critical care surgery and general surgery. NWTHS is a Level 3 Trauma Center and treats approximately 60 000 patients yearly in its ER. 85% of the trauma seen at NWTHS is blunt; 15% penetrating (only 5% gunshot).
